Does this converter fit up in the frame underneath the cart?
Doug E on Apr 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question! You can absolutely tuck this into the frame of the golf car. It is very compact. The dimensions of this converter are 7 inches long by 4 inches wide.
I’m installing the reliance 1230 DC Converter to my 36 volt exgo golf cart. I am running my stereo and lights through the converter. My reliance has 5 wires coming from it, black and yellow to the -/+ terminals for the 36 volts, green wire that on a 36 volt connects directly to the switch side of the solenoid, red for powering accessories (lights and stereo), and blue wire for constant 12v memory. The accessories have a red and black wire, I know the red connects to the red wire on the converter, where does the black connect? Since the converter is already grounded is the black wire from the accessories needed?
Phil S on Jun 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Ground it to the negative side of the batteris/where the converter is grounded
