If there is a harder working part on a golf cart, we are not sure what it would be. The Yamaha Ignition Coil Four-Cycle generates hundreds of sparks a minute. This has to be done to keep the timing correct and the engine running smoothly. When they start to go bad, the rate of fire at first does not slip. The condition of the fore that is created starts to diminish. Think back to your high school chemistry class. What is the hottest color flame? Blue or white, right? This is what you want your spark to look like. If it is red or yellow, you can expect the caddie to run like a pile of garbage. Every time you change your oil, you should make it a point to check the condition of the spark. Get an in-line tester and make it easy.
Your golf cart coil is what generates the high-level voltage to get a good hot spark. It is an amplifier of the 12-volt battery. It pushes it up into the tens of thousands of volts range to create a lightning strike over an air gap on the spark plug. Get one today from Buggies Unlimited.
yes,it worked perfectly, the listing makes it look like it is only for g2 and g9 but that means g2 through g9.when i recieved mine it went right on and worked just fine. Hope this helped
No, only for G11 models and down. We discontinued our ignition coil for the G14.
Item# 14563 is the ignitor we still carry.
This will not work for the G8
We do not have that info available. The products are made to match the OEM spec.
nine times out of ten on these carts being older they are bad .My advice is replace it as long as you know the plug is good and the fuse.
