In terms of mph, what could one expect from changing out stock (12:1) to this set of gears (8:1)?

Hi Doug, it's hard to put a number on how much speed you'll gain from the speed gears, it depends heavily on the condition of your cart.

To follow up on doug Cs question, with a G16, good running condition, what speed increase can be expected with the high speed gear set? does the speed limiter in the transmission need to be removed or bypassed? should the limiter fork and associated parts be left out during rebuild?

Yes it would help but if its getting slower its not a cause of something in the differential. Please give us a call and let us help you determine whats causing the problem.

Item 5895 is what you are looking for. This will speed the cart up quite a bit. As far as difficulty is concerned, its not a walk in the park by any means. I would highly recommend getting a Differential Rebuild manual for your gas G29 from Yamaha prior to attempting. Not something we sell unfortunately.

On level terrain runs 30MPH, but am in Prescott Arizona has hill terrain and it will not make it up slope, stops I put new 8 6v batteries TROJAN did not help at all.
