The rear axle on your golf cart is a very crucial part. Axles are tied directly into your rear differential and are the power to the road when the engine or motor spins. Several factors make this happen even on the axle level, like Rear Axle Bearings and seals. If you happen to lose one of these to damage or misplace it during a rebuild, please do not try and run the golf cart without it. We know it seems small and un-needed, but this little part is one of the essential parts of the rear assembly.

Without the axle bearing, you will be able to get the golf cart axle itself installed, but you will notice that it sits at quite the angle. The first time you try and run it, you will pick up that the ride is quite a bit bumpier than it was before and quite noisy to boot.
