Cart Subtotal:
Please do not be confused by the title. This controller can be used on a variety of different carts. What it comes down to most of the time is the throttle input that it has been programmed to receive. Vintage Club Cars and EZGO's use a 0-5000 ohm throttle sensor. That's precisely the signal that the 325-Amp 0-5K Curtis Controller is looking for. Anything that uses that throttle type and a series drive system can use this controller without much modification. There may be a few wiring differences or a terminal that's labeled a little contradictorily. However, we send a diagram along with it to clear up any confusion.
Now the one thing you may be a little puzzled by is the four-pin white plug that you do not have anything to plug into. Don't worry; we would have told you if there was another part needed. This little plug is for the programmer we used to drop that 0-5k throttle map into the controller to match the signal your golf cart puts out. The experts at Buggies Unlimited have thought of it all; just give us a call.
Most definitely it will work. I used this controller on my 1991 Marathon. Not sure what year you have, but the only difference from the original is an external resistor. The new one doesn’t use it. All other connections are exactly the same. Hope this helps.
1 year warranty and they are made proudly in the USA. Curtis is a HUGE company and operates in over 16 countries but most of the manufacturing is done here.
G8's use a 0-1K throttle sensor. This controller requires a 0-5K throttle input. Part # 994 matches what you need!
Hello, that club car oem # directly links to that 465 curtis controller.
Hi Tom, this controller works for 36-volt carts. If your cart is 48-volts and has a lever-style FR switch located near the seat, then you will need the below controller. Call our sales department for more info.
Yes, this will fit the 93 Ez Go Textron
Are used to text Service to wear mine after spending hours trying to figure it out they straighten me out the thing works great
I researched the Curtis controller for my 1991 cart. After speaking with Buggies Unlimited, I decided to buy it. It’s the perfect replacement at a much lesser cost then an original. It connected right up, maybe a 20 minute job. I might caution you to make sure the cart motor is working OK. My research did show several occasions where the motor did sustain some damage, from a malfunctioning controller. Testing the motor is a pretty simple operation. My original controller actually caught on fire. If your cart is in otherwise good condition, don’t hesitate to purchase the Curtis.
I don’t know for sure , but it is probably like mine , and will work, mark all your terminals, so you can get it to work
It’s a good system works really well. Use all the components. They will help your cart a lot. The boys up at buggies unlimited know what you’re talking about.
