The 3-Amp Solenoid Diode that fits select models is an essential little item. This unit will install on the solenoid of your golf cart. It attaches between the two smaller posts on that contactor which is the activation circuit of the golf caddie. When you press the pedal on your buggy, it sends a signal to the solenoid to click it in.
What is happening here is an electromagnet is being created inside the solenoid to make it click. You have a positive that comes in on one of the small terminals. Then a negative comes in on the other. When they meet, a magnet is created, which closes the primary contact of the solenoid, making the clicking noise. cart will run without diode but i suggest using it goes across 2 SMALL terminals on solenoid.
