Cart Subtotal:
The Club Car Precedent Steering Box Assembly is a complicated little device. We are here to help you understand how it works. Unlike older steering boxes that were single throw, this is a double throw. What that means is instead of having just one drag link coming out of one side of the steering box, it's got tie rod ends coming out of both sides. This handy little feature eliminates the long tire rod needed to run from the passenger side to the driver side, connecting the spindles. This is just one less part to get bent or damaged when your golf cart gets in a precarious spot. Tie rods get taken out by stumps and all kinds of ground objects. Not a worry anymore, thanks to this setup.
This golf cart steering box is a rack and pinion style setup, and it fits the 2004 and newer Precedent models. Unfortunately, there is no way to convert the older models to the newer style steering without a long travel lift kit. Call Buggies Unlimited today.
Already installed - can’t measure. Same size as the original equipment.
This would fit the 2011 Precedent.
You may need to adjust the tie rods. Take something straight like a 2 by 4 or broom handles put from the front tires to the rear to make sure you have the toe adjusted correct. Basically you’re doing a front in alignment. Hopefully that makes sense but the front wheels need to be straight with the back wheels also on the cart.
No. If there is play in it you have to replace it.
Yes The chassis are the same as the Precedent
