The Club Car Precedent Governor Cable is like the sorcerer's apprentice to the carburetor. These two systems work in unison to ensure the golf cart accelerates how you tell it to. When you hit your accelerator pedal, a long cable runs from the base of that unit back to the governor; this is called the accelerator cable. Another cable runs to the carb from this juncture; you guessed it, this is the governor cable. These parts work together to regulate how much air gets pulled into the golf cart. If either one of them is faulty, you will have issues.Your golf cart's acceleration will suffer if anything in this lineup gets worn out. Bypassing it is not a safe option either. This could blow an engine up, and we are not about that life. This is the golf cart governor cable for the FE290 motors, but only when installed in the Club Car Precedent models.
