Cart Subtotal:
Let us try and guess your symptom. The Swami says you take off usually, but then the golf cart falls on its face and will only do two to five miles per hour. Does this sound correct? Of course, it does; we would never lead you astray. When a speed sensor or the little magnet that it houses starts to go faulty, the controller, like the golf cart's brain, no longer receives a signal indicating the motor's RPM. When this happens, the controller will lock your cart into a low-mph, safety mode. Get a Club Car Electric Precedent/DS Motor Speed Sensor Kit ordered today and get back to normal.
There are two different kinds of magnets for Club Car in this period. It all depends on the type of motor you have. If the case is a bluish grey and the sensor pops in and is held down by a snap-ring, keep shopping. If your motor has a black suit and the sensor appears to be held onto the end-cap by screws, then you are in the right place. Let Buggies Unlimited send you a Club Car Electric Precedent/DS Motor Speed Sensor Kit today.
My cart would start normal then go to a low speed and never speed back up. Changed sensor an it went back to normal speeds
My experience over the years has been it could either be the speed Sensor relatively inexpensive or the controller much more expensive the symptoms are about the same
It's navitas I imagine it's aftermarket but it fly's had to align it better cause I couldn't stay on the road
No, it sends pulses to the controller to let it know how fast the motor is turning, if it goes bad the cart will not rin at full speed.
It is on the end of the electric motor it either snaps in place or has 2 small screws that hold it in place
With just the driver I get a speed of 15 to 17 mph. On a paved road. On the beach front on packed sand I go much slower just to enjoy the view!
If it clicks and sounds like a solenoid. Try unplugging and cleaning all of the connections on the controller in the center cabinet. I had slightly loose and dirty connections and it fixed the problem

The magnet is just a flush fit by tightening the bolt that holds it on not sure what the torque rating should be, but just tighten the bolt good
