Product Details

The potentiometers on Club Cars have evolved quite a bit since their inception. We started with simple copper contacts on a board, the v-glide, and the motor controller output relay; Buggies Unlimited carries the RELIANCE Club Car Precedent MCOR for the generation one model. This POT-box is an aftermarket unit but is the identical twin of the OEM it replaces. No more crazy conversion kits directly from the factory. This one is plug and play so you can spend less time working on your golf cart and more time driving it. Not to mention the low price makes you think twice about wasting money on that cheap one on Amazon.

This RELIANCE Club Car Precedent MCOR fits pedal group one. This means that up to a specific year, the black pedals mounted to a silver arm that attached them to the lower controls. If your arms are silver-like previously stated, then this will work great for you. Get in touch with Buggies Unlimited and have one on your doorstep soon.

Gone is the Herky Jerky Power
Works great. Was worried about the cheap ones from China as I’ve had issues with cheap car parts. Had this one in for a couple months now and the ride is so much smoother.

Gas pedal accelerator.
It worked just great. Put it in and cart ran fine. The only drawback was they did not send the mountain screws..

MCOR solved acceleration problem.
This part solved my acceleration problem. I would press the accelerator pedal two or three times and nothing would happen but a clicking sound, then, on about the fourth press on the pedal it would finally take off. The accelerator pedal was very unpredictable and you never knew when the cart would take off. This part solved the problem. You simply remove the floor covering and then the brake tensioner to get to the MCOR. There are You Tube videos on it.

will a bad MCOR cause club car to run good sometime and then go very slow other times?

It could, typically that would be caused by a speed sensor issue. If the car feels like its going to accelerate normally and then drops back into a low speed mode, its your speed sensor. MCOR would cause more erratic issues with the throttle or not run at all.

I bought an MCOR online(Amazon) and replaced it in my 2007 CC Precedent about 2 weeks ago. Prior to replacement it was jerking upon acceleration, but at full throttle it ran fine. Once replaced it fixed this problem. Now about a week later I am finding at full throttle the motor is slowing down then kicking back in, all while still on full throttle. Did I get a bad MCOR unit? Could it now be something else? The box that the unit came in says Made in China are the original units made in the US?

It is possible that the speed sensor on the back of the motor is going bad, but it sounds more like the MCOR is bad again. I have bought several from Club Car that have been bad when I received them, not sure where they were made.

I have an accelerration problem with my 2009 Precedent. I have to step on the accelerator 2 or 3 times to get it to kick in and go. Once going, it works fine until I stop and again I have to pump the accelerator 2 or 3 times to get going again. What would be the problem?

Had the same problem put in new MCOR switch and it work fine now

Would a old mcor CAUSE the golf cart to not have pull throttle 100%?

When the MCOR goes bad it can cause a myriad of issues with the throttle. From reduced top speed to a no run situation.

my 2006 club car Precedent battery cart will often not go when pedal is pressed. If I move the pedal and forward/reverse switch a few times it will go. When it finally does start its fine. Mechanic at golf shop said its the mcor. Is this right and that is what I need to purchase?

I had that problem in my 2006 Club Car/HuntVe several years ago, and replacing the MCOR did fix the problem. The same vehicle is now out of commission again; won't respond when accelerator pedal is pressed even though power light indicator is on. But this time a new MCOR had no effect. But I'm not a mechanic.

I have a 2005 club car precedent. When you press the go pedal it starts normally, after a short distance it stop as if it lost power. You can release the pedal and push it back down and it starts again but stops after a few feet. You can also hold the go pedal down when it stops and after a few seconds it will start to move again for a few feet. Any ideas what the problem might be?

I had a similar issue. I had a company run a diagnostic & tell me it was my controller. After replacing the controller it still had the issue. I then replaced the speed sense module & the mcor & still had the problem. I finally discovered it was a bad connection in the controller harness after replacing all those parts. I believe it was the speed sense wire connection & I just bypassed harness connection. I would replace the cheapest parts first like the speed sensor on the motor & the mcor.

Got an 05 ds. Mcor looks just like this one not the others. I think it's my problem since I've changed about everything else. Could it be possible to fit my DS?

Hi Bobby, most likely not, this MCOR is for Precedents only.

i have a 2002 club car what MCOR do i need?

Call Buggies and their rep. will line you up.

i have 2007 club car precedent electric guess about 1 in 10 take offs its runs maybe half speed so i stop turn off then back on and goes back to full throttle ?

Sounds similar to our unit's issues, except our speed would just stay at a really low speed or stop. It would start out fast then almost immediately slow or stop.

My electric 48 volt 2006 club car works fine at half throttle. As soon as I go to full gas pedal it cuts out to slow speed. Have to reset it by turning tow switch to tow then back to run. Repeat. Would that be the MCOR?

It didn't fix our problem which is the same as yours,Not sure what the issue is,we are taking it to a repair facility....
