The rear axle area of your golf cart has many names. The differential is the industry term, and technically, that's what it is. However, it is called everything from the rear chunk to the pumpkin. The Club Car DS Transmission Cable shows you another example of how many different things that one part can be called.That golf cart cable attaches to the top of the chunk on a lever that allows the gears to shift from forward to reverse. That is just one of the things that your rear axle is used for. You may also notice a secondary clutch that is mounted to the side. If it is in your way and you would like to remove it, you should not need a pull, just take the bolt out and tap it off.
