Cart Subtotal:
When you first got this golf cart, you were smoking everyone in the neighborhood. You couldn't believe how fast this vintage model really was. But over the years, it feels like it has started to slip. The caddie runs OK, but it does not seem like it has the range of throttle it had before. More than likely, you are looking at a case of a stretched-out Club Car Accelerator Cable. When this happens, the cart still runs just like it did in the past, just a little slower. The longer the cable gets, the slower your coach will go. This is because the butterfly valve on the carb stays partially closed, so the fuel flow is restricted.
This golf cart cable is one of many on your cart. You have choke cables and a governor cable. Don't forget about the Club Car brake cables, either. The point being, if one is stretched out, they all probably are. Call an expert at Buggies Unlimited and get the whole shooting match.
Their is no question for me to answer ????
According to the model/serial listed, the Club Car is gas golf car, built in 2001, 24th week of production beginning Aug1 of the prior year. The part description should cover the year/range stated.
However, I purchased this part for my 01 Turf 2 and could not use it because the barrel end of the cable was too big to fit into the std OEM throttle actuator inside elect box. This part fit the description but is not true OEM spec.
As long as you have the Fe350 Kawasaki engine in the Carryall then it will work.
