Ordered and received switch very quickly.

While I have dealt with BU for years, this was the worst disaster of all times. Over 2 weeks to receive this order. Diodes were fine...my own charger. But the switches were for a neighbor and friend. He got tired of waiting, so took the cart to Phoenix for repair. The cost of transport was more than the repair. And, I now have 2 switches that I may, or may not, ever use.
The story continues...a week after the order, I called customer service. I spoke with a smart a## woman. I expected the parts to come out of the Phoenix (Maricopa) warehouse, and be delivered within a couple days. She pointed out that I ordered them online. That gave B-U the opportunity to ship them from whichever warehouse had the most inventory of that item...in this case Jacksonville, Fla. Moreover, she pointed out the time element was my fault for ordering the day I did. She was very specific in the number of days that did not effect the delivery time, i.e. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (July 4th). So, 2 weeks was completely understandable. Worse yet, UPS had a problem delivering, because the space number was left off, and they then "misplaced " it for a couple days. I then had to drive to the next city to pick up the package at their delivery drop.
The lady said I had no option, nor knowledge of where the part comes from.
I have dealt with parts most of my life NAPA, Chrysler, GM, etc. as a counterman. This should not happen! Moreover, this woman was not helpful in any way.
What I draw from this experience with B-U is that customer service is going downhill. You have outgrown the need to treat people well.
As luck would have it, I used Google Earth to locate your warehouse in---not Phoenix, but Maricopa, Az. As I transit from winter home in Yuma, to summer home in Lakeside, I go right thru Maricopa. Or any time we come to Phoenix. I pass right by the facility without knowing what it is. And, I found that you are owned by Nivel, with a major supply facitity in west Phoenix...another source for the product. I will keep that in mind for any other purchase.
If I understand what the lady was saying correctly, I should order only by phone, Stock-check the number, and specify only west cost service, to get timely service. And this on a ship, or cancel basis. This applies to parts specifically...not accessories, which should not be time sensitive.
Or just not use Buggies Unlimited!
