Cart Subtotal:
The EZGO Medalist TXT Accelerator Microswitch does not get enough love. This thing is directly in line with the solenoid and making things run. This is one of those golf cart parts that you would be up the creek without a paddle if you did not have it. When the solenoid clicks in, it's because you pressed the pedal, right?
When you depress the accelerator pedal, a switch is mounted to the frame underneath the cart that gets activated. Once that happens, it allows a positive voltage to flow to the next step in the activation circuit. Depending on how your caddie is wired, it could be the forward and reverse micro switch or the solenoid itself. Without this golf cart microswitch, you would be dead in the water. That is no place to be when the fix is this simple. Just two screws and two wires, and you are done. Call Buggies Unlimited and get one of our experts to send one of these your way.
My golf cart is a 2007 and I don't have this problem
The micro switch was our problem for our electric cart, but am not sure about the gas carts. I would suggest you look at the micro switch on the gas peddle to see if it’s bad.
Yes it is
Yes, you may have to oil the pedal also.
I had this problem, it was caused by some contaminated gas.
should work fine, the book calls for a 10896 but these units are about the same.
