Copper is a highly conductive material. This is why they use it in microswitches, solenoids, relays, and the Club Car DS 48-Volt Electric Reverse Switch. The more amperage, the thicker it has to be. This is a heavy-duty switch that uses a higher-grade copper that is much thicker. We highly recommend it anytime you add any upgrade that is going to increase heat. Things like high amp motors and controllers are apparent. However, things like big tires and wheels paired with lift kits can be just as big of a problem for this circuit. Making sure the Club Car switches in line are all high-amp rated is a must. The last thing you want is to install a new toy only to have one of the critical parts fail.
This golf cart switch is rated for more power than the Club Car OEM unit. However, it is identical in appearance. Other than the thickness of the buss bars, they cannot be told apart. This makes the installation a breeze. Call Buggies Unlimited today.
My 2003 Club Car serial number AA0308-257653. The F/R switch Item #5774 only shows 3wires. The switch I have has 7 wires. Will the high voltage F/R switch work and will the instructions show how to wire the new one?

the switch check the bolt assembly so it matches your fwd,, rev switch arm.

Hi Cliff, our part number for this is 5770 and the OEM part number is 101753005, it fits all Club Car DS carts between years 1995-2004.
Not enough info, is your switch OEM or a PO's work around? Pic would be nice. Replaced mine with the one listed by Buggies U with no problem. Only difference is OEM has connections on the body, after market has pig tail.
