if the old cover is smooth with no rips, etc, then the new cover has be installed right over it. Of course, the wood and cushion needs to be in good shape also.
I have already installed it on our seat, but it fit our back seat perfect. Very good quality of leather also, we are very pleased. Sorry I don't have exact size and our golf cart in not at home that I could measure.
