The crankcase on your golf cart runs the fuel system. Without the pressure created there, minute as it may be, there would be no way for the gas to get from the tank to the engine. The fuel pump on your golf cart is a diaphragm-operated system. It uses the fluctuating pressure of only one to three pounds to draw the fuel and pump it up towards the carburetor. If parts like the Club Car Crankshaft Seal for the Fan-Side fail or blows out, the pressure will drop to nothing, and the pump does not work. Now at full throttle, the carb creates enough suction to bypass everything before it. So if you are having more issues at slow speeds, this may be the issue plaguing your caddie.
