Cart Subtotal:
There are two basic types of drums when it comes to golf carts. Most EZGO and some Columbia models use a Brake Hub Drum assembly, which utilizes a permanently fixed splined cynosure. Whereas on other models, they are two separate parts. Setups such as this were a way to reduce wear and tear on other items like the differential. Buggies Unlimited only carries products we would be proud to use on our carts. This unit meets that criteria, blowing stock or OEM quality out of the water. Make sure you get them tight enough though. Consult your manual and verify, because a loose hub is a stripped hub.
When replacing your rubber, it's common knowledge that you should do them all if you do one. It is the same case with brake hub drums. Luckily you only have two, so this repair isn't going to break the bank. Especially at Buggies Unlimited, where the barns are full of deals, the products all have discount codes, and where the golf cart zeal is real!
This depends on the model. Typically the utility models will use the large hole.
WE have had ours for about 2 years now. When we bought this one we bought 2 because we kept replacing them. Thankfully this one has lasted.
This hub has a splined shaft that goes through it and meets up against a shoulder that stops the drum from over tightening so 100 ft pounds is not to mutch I used an 12 in impact and it worked nicely.
Yes, this is the 24 spline.
