Recharging a battery may sound like a simple job, but on your golf cart, several parts play a role in accomplishing that task. First off, the battery is responsible for starting the carriage and running everything that uses electricity. As you can imagine, the charge is going to drop pretty quickly. This is not like your older trucks that can start up and then have the battery removed and keep running. If that happens, you have a severe grounding issue, and you should call one of our tech support reps. The starter puts out almost 20 volts. That is too much for your battery. This is where the Voltage Regulator for Yamahas comes into play. It drops the voltage down to a useable 13-15 volts.
