When something works well, EZGO is very hesitant to change it. Until something comes along that is leagues better than whatever it's replacing they're happy to roll with what they know performs well. There is no difference when it comes to the E-Z-GO 2 / 4-Cycle Drive Clutch. This unit worked so well that when the conversion from two-stroke to four happened, EZGO used the same pulley on both models. Not until the heavier utility carts with more significant engines came along were more oversized clutches even considered. That makes us here at Buggies Unlimited real happy; one part for two buggies, it doesn't get much better than that when it comes to saving space in the warehouse.
The E-Z-GO 2 / 4-Cycle Drive Clutch is called the primary pulley and gets mounted right on the engine. A big belt connects it to the secondary or driven clutch in the rear of the golf cart. No the shaft has a progressive taper to it . A good piece of advice is to buy the clutch removal tool . It is basically a bolt . You might think you don't need it but you do & man it made the job so much easier. It cost about $15 if I remember correctly. Enter
