The front leaf springs on your golf cart are for pulling purposes. Most customers are unaware of this. While they support a small amount of the rider weight, most of the "you" gets supported by the rear leaf springs. The only time it is appropriate to upgrade the front suspension is if you will be towing a large sum of weight. If you put a rear seat on the cart and are always going to have passengers, or if you primarily use the cart to tow a debris trailer or maybe launch your boat.
These are excellent reasons to move to an aftermarket pair of heavy-duty leaf springs for the front of your EZGO Marathons suspension. The OEM springs will not handle the stress of putting a full workload on the golf cart. Make sure you are prepared for the job at hand with the proper upgrades for your golf cart. My u bolts were long enough already but my cart had lift blocks already installed. The spring is about 3/8 in thicher
