If we had a nickel jar and put one in it every time someone cracked their stock EZGO front cowl cap, we'd have enough to make 5 cent soup for everyone! The point being is this is a thin plastic part. Buggies Unlimited realizes that this is a highly replaced and sought-after part for older carts. Due to this, we try to keep an aftermarket on the shelf that's affordable, like the Marathon Black Front Cowl Cap. With the way most of us drive, you may want to go ahead and just get two.
This Works for the EZGO Marathon model. It is effortless to install and can be done with a basic set of tools. A handy tip in getting this part or any plastic part for that matter installed, is to get it warm and pliable. If you get the product hot enough to manipulate it, the installation will be a breeze. Please don't think that this part is out of spec. You have to understand, when you're working with a golf cart as seasoned as an EZGO Marathon, the cart itself is no longer in spec.
Remove the cup holder assembly
Remove the rubber trim around dash
Remove plastic insert for dash pockets
Remove all nuts and bolts all the way in the back of the dash. Hard to reach 2 people needed.

I bought one of these for a 1989 marathon and it fits like a factory original. It bolts onto the steel body with concealed bolts and is not a super easy job. It's hard to get at the nuts and bolts up under the edge, but doable. I would think it will fit your model year because it's in the correct age range. Good luck
