Product Details

Getting the gas up to your engine so it can burn it and run is a very arduous job for your golf cart to complete. There are several working parts like the Club Car Fuel Tank Vent Assembly, the fuel pump, and the carburetor, to name a few. These items make it possible for the proper pressures to get created and get this job accomplished. If there is any extra air in the system, it can cause several things to happen, and none of them are good. First and foremost, too much oxygen is the primary cause of the fuel mixture being incorrect and putting the spark out on the plug that is in the cylinder.

The golf cart fuel tank vent allows the proper amount of air to be introduced into the system. This ensures that the mixture is appropriate and will ignite under pressure created in the cylinder. We know this can be a confusing process. Please feel free to call an expert at Buggies Unlimited if you have any questions.

After the grommet and the vent what else do I need have nothing but a hole in top of tank?

Obviously you will need a gas cap and a length of venting hose from vent valve down outside the engine bay. This usually is run through a space in the body shell downward below the cart. You should also run a ground wire to one of the small holes in the top of the plastic tank just to prevent static electricity. This wire can attach to the plastic tank with a self tapping screw.

How to remove 2001 club car ds fuel pickup with shut off? Does this unscrew?

"How to remove 2001 club car ds fuel pickup with shut off“ The picture attached to the question shows the gas tank vent. The fuel pickup with shut off screws in. The vent presses in the grommet.

hello,my problem is i am not getting gas from the gas tank to the fuel pump, this vent replacement sounds like it might get the job done am i right?

This part and the grommet could very well be the issue. Please give our tech support team a call at 1-888-444-9994.

how do you drain the gas? 1998 club car old fuel wont start

We used a siphon to drain it out of the cap, we had so much sludge at the bottom, we ultimately had to remove the tank to clean it out

I have a 1994 4 seat gas Club Car and have to replace the vent assembly. It appears the same as this assembly but I do not know if the diameter has been increased or decreased. The Fitment section says the start year is 2015 and mine is a 1994. Does anyone know if this will fit my tank? Thanks.

This vent fits most Club Car fuel tanks , Be careful when removing old one the rubber grommet that this part fits in has a tendency to fall into tank . When installing new vent first lubricate inside of grommet with petroleum jelly and push vent in, Be careful not to force it too much as the plastic can break very easily . Hope this works for you , Bob.
