I purchased the cable and when installing it I noticed the threads on it appear to be worn and I cannot get the washer on correctly due to this. I'm not sure what I can do now.

Not the same as the old one
The old choke cable had a way to lock it on partial choke ,this one does not and I have to hold the choke on while the engine is warming up ,I expected The new one to work the same .

not long enough, couldn't route thru opening without drilling
Although shown as correct for our cart, the cable was about 10-12 inches too short to route thru the clip provided at the bottom of the engine well, so had to be fitted with foam and rubber bumpers to ride up over the spark plug wire; Also does not come apart, so wouldn't fit thru the opening in the front - we had to cut out a large hole and make a slot, used large washers to hold it in place - not pretty, but hoping it holds
