If your cart loses climbing power, starts chewing through belts, or the clutches and belt are very hot after a short ride, it's probably time for a new secondary clutch spring. This clutch spring fit perfectly, and the difference in spring tension between the new and old one was very noticeable. If your cart is old like mine (34 years old!) I recommend you buy the secondary clutch removal tool, because your clutch will be rusted solid to the shaft and there isn't enough PB Blaster in the world to soak it off. Also, I read where you have to pretension the spring quite a bit, but I just turned it past the first stop on the inner gear (about a quarter turn) and the tension is perfect. Also recommend you replace the nylon ramp shoes while you're in there as it's way easier to do with the clutch apart. My cart has power, the belt rides true, and the clutches no longer get red hot after long rides. Happy Carting!
