The Yamaha Drive Belt for select G models is the item that gets the power from the engine back to the rear wheels. Without it, you would have a deafening noise machine that did not roll anywhere. There is a primary or drive clutch that is attached to the engine. As the engine RPM increases, the clutch gets skinner and skinner thanks to centrifugal force. As that happens, the golf cart drive belt gets tighter and tighter around the rear clutch attached to your rear gearbox. When that happens, the rear clutch turns the gears in the differential, and they put the power to the wheels.

This drive belt measures approximately 1-3/16-inch by 39-inches and will for the Yamaha models G2, G8, G9, G11, G14, G16, G20, G21, and G22. That is as long as they are 4-cycle gas models, which is why it will not work for the Yamaha G3 model because it is just a 2-cycle G1 with a few bells and whistles.
