Microswitches on golf carts are a small item. Hints the name we are guessing, but they could not have a bigger job. They are relays in the activation circuit of the golf cart. The Club Car 3-Terminal Micro Switch is one of three on the forward and reverse switch assembly.
We bet you think that there is a switch for forward, neutral, and reverse, right. Well, kind of, there is a switch that activates the reverse buzzer. Still, one of the other switches activates the solenoid. The final one is a switch that sends a signal to the controller to only let the golf cart run at half speed while in reverse. These three golf cart switches are critical to running the vehicle and the safety of its passengers and the people around it. Don't get caught with no rear warning buzzer, or surprised by the full speed in reverse, or worst of all, a no-run situation. Call Buggies Unlimited and get one ordered today.
Norman the switch is actually 3 separate micro switches
Check the wire sequence on the solenoid sounds like you have two wires crossed
fix your brakes, you burnt out your reverse micro switch also check your reverse cable
i found that the original key start with 5 6 tremnals is the problem but the key has a lot to do with everything micro switches go to a new key mechanism but i have gas carts so i may be wy off
Replace controller with something like a Navitas brand or something similar and you will get more torque not any more speed but definitely more torque or you can replace the controller and the motor and get speed and torque
