Product Details

The Harley Davidson Reed Valve Leaf from Buggies Unlimited is a part of the more extensive rebuild you bought, right? As a matter of fact, the chances of having a problem with just this item are very slim. You can say that of anything in about every industry, however. Think about the last time you took your car in for an oil change. Was that the only thing the mechanic said you needed to do? Or was there a laundry list of things that needed attention? We would bet on the latter. So ensure you get everything you need from us.

Rebuilding a golf cart can seem like a daunting task. However, it is not as bad as most people make it out to be. Of course, you want to prepare for it, but it is not worth fretting about. You can call us and order a Harley Davidson OEM manual and get help from our tech team right over the phone. We try not to leave anything up to guesswork. If you are unsure about a step in the process, call us and get the support you need. We are ready and waiting to help you out happily.

Buggies Unlimited has everything you need to get that vintage project off the ground. We love the older caddies, and we carry as much as we can for them. This is our contribution to the fight in keeping them on the road. The older styles were elegant and are not something you come across in the newer models. Keeping these bygones of another era around is an important task, and we hope you are up to it. So call us today and get the support you need to cruise in style. We understand the need to step back in time.

how do you know if the reed valve is bad on golf cart motor ?

without disassembly and inspection of your induction system, a characteristic of a broken reed valve is poor performance and having to over choke or run with the choke on. obviously if a leaf is broken it's bad. if any leaves show wear, detectable with your finger nail, in the area that they seat on the reed plate it's bad. if you place it on a flat surface and the leaves don't all lay flat, it's bad. lastly, for the price of a new one, any time you're into your engine, replace it, as they fatigue at the root over time and can brake off trashing your engine. most of the time the reed plate is also worn where the leave contact it, if so, replace the plate also for best performance.
