Cart Subtotal:
Keeping things under the proper pressure is a constant battle on your golf cart. You could blow a gasket or knick a seal and drop the pressure enough to affect the operation of the golf cart. Even things like a Yamaha Gas Cap for 85-96 G1, G2, and G9 models can cause issues like vapor lock. Ethanol is a golf cart's most significant obstacle during like term storage. If you leave your caddie for longer than a few days, you should drain the fuel so it can't eat through your lines and fuel pump. Using ethanol-free gas is a great way to stay ahead of it too. That stuff is just nasty; it will literally turn anything made of plastic or rubber into mush in no time.
This golf cart gas cap is a dream when it comes to installation. If you have ever pumped your own gasoline at the local refueling station, you are overqualified. Call Buggies Unlimited and place an order today.
I've used one on an 88 G2, and on a 91 G8. I don't see why it wouldn't fit. As far as lasting, the onli issues I've had is when using stabilizer in the fuel tank.
I am not sure. Bought it for my G2. It will not hold up though I have already replaced mine. The replacement from another company is doing the same. I may have to spend the big money and buy OEM one. Good luck!
my cart is a 1987 g2 and it fits perfect. I assume if it states g1-g9 it will work. My old cap was cracked but it looked just like the replacement cap.
No it does not. The G2/9 I know have vents on top of the tank with a rubber style vent.
Check the fuel lines. May be cracked and sucking air instead of fuel when a higher fuel demand besides idling.
Yes it does
