Many things that come OEM on the golf cart are just not good enough to support the stock requirements, let alone upgraded ones. One of the biggest causes of other elements to fail on a golf cart is the battery cables. If you have a set of good batteries and one foul line somewhere on the pack, it will prevent the golf cart's entire operation. These Powerdrive systems have to have 48 volts at a minimum to operate normally. When your charge level reaches 47 volts, you will start to lose performance, and at 46, you are at a dead stop. One lousy cable can drop the charge as much as 8 volts. If that happens, you might as well have taken a battery entirely out of line. Hi Michael, those cables can actually be used on all 90's model DS carts. You just have to have a solid state controller in order for these cables to work.
