I have a 97 I installed this kit and I’m receiving a 1.2 fault code. I have a 0-5k Potentiomenter. It will accelerate if your depress the pedal slowly

Anyone had this problem before?
Gabe H on Apr 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The OEM POT for that car should be a 5k-0 not a 0-5k. If you are currently running a 0-5k that would explain perfectly a 1-2 throttle fault. You need kit 8560 to convert you to the new style MCOR POT that will be a 5k-0 throttle.
I have a 36 volt 1992 Club Cab which high torque kit do I need?

Speed torque kit review
I installed this kit on 2001 Club Car. The installation went as expected. You should have a background in mechanical repairs if you're going to attempt doing this modification yourself. It is not terribly difficult, but you will need mechanics tools and knowledge if you plan to complete this. The parts are heavy. I did the installation myself, but recommend you have a helper. The wire harness is not plug and play. You should have some background in automotive wiring before attempting this harness installation. Not every wire called on in the instructions matched the harness on my cart, but it was all close enough to figure out easily. Be sure to have an assortment of terminal ends and one battery terminal end.

Issues: One of the battery cables was too short and the negative cable going to the controller wouldn't fit through the computer without cutting the end off and installing a new terminal end after routing the cable.

Results are very good. I'm getting about 21 MPH max with stock sized tires using a handheld GPS to measure speed. The drivability is very good and I can now climb hills without issue. Overall I'm very pleased with the kit and recommend it to anyone with a little mechanical ability or a good cart mechanic.
