Product Details

Cooking your first meal as a kid can be a lot like replacing an EZGO Electric Six-Gauge SB50 Plug. For a lot of folks, they prepare their first dinner in the scouts. If your experience was anything like ours, you spent that night over a trashcan. Never trust an 11year old with a spatula. It's kind of hard to earn your auto mechanics merit badge by swapping out a few golf cart parts while you are purging your body of all the undercooked food you put in it. Working on your caddie is a great way to introduce the younger generation to repair work. However, the cooking requirements might be a better place to start.

Just the action of plugging and unplugging this EZGO SB50 spark plug is enough to wear it out. Years and years of reliable service are going to take their toll on this item. If you want to keep your golf cart's batteries in good condition, this unit is going to take a beating. It's better to have to replace this inexpensive item than a hefty cost battery.

Your charging system should be one of the most used items on your golf cart. If this electric plug does not wear out over time, you are not charging your caddie frequently or long enough. Your batteries should last up to ten years before they need replacing. However, if they fall in that notorious two to three-year life span, something is not right; more than likely, you are undercharging.

This golf cart SB-50 plug is part of the recharge system; it acts as a draw bridge between your caddie and your charger. There is one on the plug side and another on the cart side. Call an expert at Buggies Unlimited and get one shipped out to you today and get those investments protected.

replacement plug
All soldered perfectly. I used shrink wrap to protect the solder and exposed wire and insulation. One side of the connector pushed in well and the flat receiving spring fit in place after the "finger" on the leading edge of the connector slid over it. Securing connector in place snugly inside the black connector housing assy. The other connector "finger" would not slide over the flat spring to secure it. I did try to gently push it from the back to let it secure itself correctly since it only needed another 3/16" to go....

However, as I explained this to Buggies Unlimited "tech-support", he right away understood my issue. He said that customer service will replace the plug assy. That the gray model plug seems to be the best one because of this issue.

I seem to think this could be an injection molding process issue of a sort that has a slight tight tolerance issue?
