Product Details

Even the vintage golf carts will need parts, like the Fuel Pump Assembly for Yamaha G1 Models. This is one of those parts that you just cannot live without. Trying to use a modern substitution never works either. If you try to use something from a newer model, it will not mount properly. If you manage to get it mounted, the lines will point in the wrong direction. They will also more than likely not reach where they need to. Electric fuel pumps are a nightmare. They are notorious for over-pumping and flooding the carb. Even if you do get it wired into the stop switch, it will not account for the throttle's position. Unless you are at top speed, it's going to struggle to burn off all the fuel in time. This can lead to backfires. Using our OEM replica avoids all of this hassle.

Ensure this golf cart fuel pump is actually causing your issue. There are several other things in this system that could be throwing a wrench in the workings. First and foremost, take a look at the lines. Did you let your caddie sit for a while? The ethanol in our fuel these days might have deteriorated them. Your carburetor is a very stout item. They do not go bad too often but are notorious for getting gunked up. Make sure you give it the old "once" over before you place an order. The last thing you want is a part that you cannot use.

This fuel pump assembly for Yamaha G1 models is effortless to install. All you need to do is connect the lines the same way you did when you took the old one-off. You may want someone there to help catch gas and ensure you do not pass out from fumes. This is a job best done in the driveway. If you have any questions, please call us today.

Everything wears out eventually
This is a 1985 Yamaha Electric start, gas golf cart. It's considered a gas cart. My parents bought it years ago. I put tires on it last year as the original tires were cracked in the side walls. $40 a pop. I inherited it and last year it quit running so we replaced the fuel pump and carb, gas and air filter and voila, it is back to form. It's an albatros for sure but gets me from point A to point B. Important point here is, it's 2 cycle and has a 2 cycle oil resevour but it never seems to go down, so my friends at Buggies Unlimited informed me to mix the gas/oil at 100/1 mix. I don't actually mix per instructions but I shoot some 2 cycle oil in the gas tank when adding gas to it. Sometimes it smokes a little..... but it never seizes up..so I'm overdoing it a little. Mountaineer logic I guess. Hope this helps. Dave
