Did you lose reverse and not forward? Or can you drive all day in drive gear, but incessant beeping is all you get in reverse? There is only one thing that can cause a problem like that on your EZGO the forward and reverse switch. Finding this OEM is next to impossible, but Buggies Unlimited has an aftermarket replacement that's a replica. Make installation a breeze, and take a picture of the old one before you uninstall it. The new one is a mirror image.
Everything on the series system, except for one part, works the same in forward as it does reverse. Whether you are talking about the motor, controller, solenoid, batteries, or whatever else, the one exception is the switch. A great way to catch this problem early is to pay attention to the golf cart's performance under a load or while climbing hills. If it struggles in a specific gear while under duress, grab a new E-Z-GO Forward and Reverse Switch from Buggies Unlimited as soon as possible.
first check manual switch to insure it is making good contact, check all wires &connections if all is good replace complete unit .
I think its 94 up . I think it will work . mine is a 03 . only concern I would have is that its a 11 passenger cart
If yours has a simple toggle switch then no. The one pictured uses a manual lever mounted on panel by seat
It should work if your cart has a lever in front of the seat for forward and reverse.
Ok...DCS carts have a lever for shifting forward & reverse. Also has no speed sensor on back of motor.
PDS carts have a forward / reverse switch on the dash and it does have a speed sensor on back of motor.
They will be troubleshooted differently depending on which one you have. Hope that helps
Yes you can but there is no need to use the heavy duty switch. Just make sure all wire ends are clean and not burned or have been overheated.
It's an Exact replacement part. You just unhook your wire from the old switch and hook them back up to this switch. Very simple installation. I didn't have to splice anything.
Under the seat on the right side of the batteries is where mine was located and mine was a 94 model .
Only if the existing wires are missing or damaged.
Yes, this should work for you model.
