Your Yamaha OEM motor is a perfect match for the customer who wants to cruise the neighborhood or play a few rounds a week. Our aftermarket replacement motor from AMD is an exact clone as far as the performance of 2.5hp @ 2800 RPM and getting it installed is concerned; the only real noticeable difference is the color of the case. Get one of these ordered today with Buggies Unlimited and get that Yamaha running again.
No it will not and we do not have one that will. Sorry about that! Try reaching out to Vintage Golf cart Parts or to Columbia directly.
I put this motor on my electric cart have not had any problems going up hill here on my ranch. My wife prefers the golf cart to the ATV. Mind you it won't go up super step grades. But it will do 20% to 30% grades or even rolling hills. Two things that hold us back is a low battery or balled tires or high centering it, hard surfices in summer time will go. Winter time you have to be more careful in softer soil. It goes every place on our ranch and I've not even though about it.
Too old to tell. Based on the age of the cart- it will be hard to see what is already in there. Does the existing motor have any info on it? If not - maybe they can have a motor repair shop fix it
I always buy a new motor and you can find someone local to rewind and fix your old one if you choose. But new is best I’ve found
It fit on my 2002 ergo great. Mine have 4 wire to motor.
It will work on the 1993 txt.
The listed motor I purchase was a direct replacement for our EZ-Go cart. I did not notice a change of speed but on flat ground I think the speed is in the mid-teens.
Right here in the USA! its made by AMD
There are alot of other things to check first before going straight to needing a new motor. It could be the siloniod, switch, computer box, ect. There are ways to check the motor using a multimeter.
