2005 ezgo. The only spark that occurs is a week one at beginning of each and every crank cycle. Replacement of igniter and ignition coil have not helped. Grounds have been checked. Can I get to the pulser without removing the engine? Can I check the gap or replace the pulser without removing the fan and wheel assembly? Does anyone know a solution to this problem. Please and thank you. Butch

BEST ANSWER: Pulser coil can be removed without removing the engine on the models I have worked on...you can test it without removing anything...find the two wires that come out of the blower housing that are the pulser wires (uually red & black. unplug the connector. set your ohm meter to the smallest ac voltage (must be able to read 2-3 volts. put each of the probes on each wire in the plug on the engine side. spin engine and see if you have a small voltage that pulses as the engine rotates..if you do, pulser is good.
Why does our pulsar look different then others for the same year? 1991 4 cycle. Ours is flat where the other looks like a plug should fit it???
John on Feb 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If I remember correctly, I think I needed to cut off the connector and splice the wires together.
we have a '99 model ez-go cart won't start, acts like a fuel pickup problem but I don't see where it has a fuel pump, what else could cause this issue ?
