The first step was those fancy ten-inch wheels; the second was the Kenda Load Star Street DOT Tire from Buggies Unlimited. These tires will take any aluminum rim and make them ready for the road. It's a common mistake to get wheels thinking the factory tires will fit. That is not the case with these babies. These are the first size widely available that is larger than the OEM. Making sure you have the tread to match can save you a lot of waiting and frustration.
We think that our caddies are bulletproof and can handle whatever you throw at them. They are pretty tough little vehicles, but we would not recommend them for front-line use. However, if you outfit them correctly, you can pretty much do anything a four-wheeler or side-by-side could. Not to mention they are very lightweight, which is a significant advantage in the mud. Having the right set of tires can make all the difference in the work you can accomplish. These Kenda Load Star's handle the road with ease. Transport the kids to school, complete chores around the house, or make deliveries. These golf cart tires can withstand it all.
Installing these Kenda's is a job better left to us or another professional. It takes equipment that you will not be able to pick up at your typical hardware store. Ours is 20" high (mounted and inflated to approximately 20 psi). Ours is on a 10" diameter rim and 11" wide. I believe the old numbering scheme (non metric) would make this a 20/11-10 tire. Apparently, some makes and models of golf carts can held them fine without a lift kit (our EZGO RXV did) ; others require a lift kit. They work great.
The last number is the rim size (10) and the first two are related to the height and width of the tire. So you can only use a tire with the last number of 10.
They are smoother riding. My cart is lifted, so I couldn't say if they will fit an unlifted cart without clearance problems
I’m not sure. I just bought the same tires that were already on the cart. My husband was in charge of the cart and he passed away last year. If there is a lift, it is minimal. Sorry I could not be better help
