The Club Car Gas Cap may seem like a part that you can live without. It is not, and we will explain why. We have heard all the excuses and solutions to them. The "we lost the gas cap" story is always about the same. We took it off to add gas, and then it vanished. It could have fallen off the cart and rolled down the hill for all we know.
The temporary solutions to the missing golf cart gas cap are always the most entertaining part, though. We have seen it all, from a piece of wood wedged just right or a ball of toilet paper sealing things off. Hey, whatever you have to do to get home is understandable. Just don't try and use styrofoam. The gas vapor turns it into mush, and it can ruin your fuel tank. Call Buggies Unlimited and get the new Club Car gas cap coming your way, and you can do away with your toilet paper plug.
I don't know about the president but it fit on my 1988 d's. I drilled a couple 1/16 " holes on the center so it would vent.
I have a 2005 Precedent and the cap is not vented. The tang itself has a separate vent.
Kathleen we do not carry any locking gas caps however im sure you can find some sort of universal cap that will work
