Product Details

The great thing about the 48-Volt Solenoid for select models is the ability to use it on multiple carts. This is true for any solenoid, really. All you need to make sure of is the amp rating and the voltage. Most stock or OEM level solenoids have around a 150 amp rating. Heavy-duty solenoids are a little higher, coming in at at least 200 amps of continuous power. What you will notice about most solenoids in this market is that they are four-terminal. They will always have two more prominent posts for battery-size cables and two smaller terminals for activation wires. If your solenoid has this general makeup, chances are you can use this product. Just make sure your minimum voltage is 48 as well.

This golf cart solenoid will work for Club Car, EZGO, and Yamaha as long as they are 48-volt units. Just because your golf cart is not listed here does not mean it will not work. If you have four terminals and 48 volts, you are good to go. Call Buggies Unlimited today.

Let me put it this way I’ve got a 500 amp controller on a DS with that solenoid

I HAVE A 2008 YAMAHA GOLF CART model ydre , WILL THIS SOLENOID WORK?

Hi Min, yes, technically any 48 volt solenoid would work on that cart. The only difference would be amp load rating (for performance purposes) and the mounting style.

I am looking for a solenoid for an eclectic 2006 Yamaha golf cart
48 volt ?

buggiesunlimited they were very helpful finding the problem quickly and sending the part Still working after a year

I have a 2006 yamaha 48 volt. Where is the solenoid located?

Probably just under seat in front of batteries.
Had to take out two batteries to get to it.
But well worth the effort. About 10% of shop cost to repair😁

how to test a 48v solenoid?

Solenoid check: there are 4 terminals total on the solenoid. 2 large and 2 small. The 2 small are your input voltage and the 2 large are output. With your voltmeter check the two small terminals (positive to positive small terminal and negative to negative small terminal) with the key switch on and the accelerator depressed you should show a full system voltage. If you do not get this voltage then something in series before the solenoid is defective. If you get proper voltage at this test then put the positive on your volt meter to either one of the large terminals and the negative to the negative on your battery pack. Depress the accelerator pedal and you should get a full system voltage. If you do not then you have a bad solenoid
