When it comes to the ultimate upgrade, it does not get much closer than a Complete Speed and Torque Motor/Controller Conversion System for your Club Car DS Regen I or II golf cart. For the longest time, nothing was available for this golf cart as far as system upgrades were concerned. The regenerative or Regen system, as its commonly referred to, was the first shunt golf cart. Before this, all golf carts were series or resistor coil systems. This breakthrough allowed for more output with less power used. You got the same performance on a 12-horsepower series motor compared to the 8hp shunt motor.

This system includes an AMD speed motor rated at 7HP, a Curtis 500 amp heavy duty controller, a beast of a solenoid with bracket and diode. You also get a regen to IQ conversion harness so you can step into the latest and greatest drive system.
