If there is a kit we sell where the term "get them while they're hot" applies, it's the Club Car DS Front End Repair Kit. A trendy kit for sure. Keeping them on the shelf is like trying to keep ice in the rain; it's not going to last long. Why you ask? This package repairs every high wear item on the front end of your golf cart. From top to bottom, if it interacts with any part upfront, this kit replaces it. You get Kingpins, bushings (metal and rubber), spacers, washers, seals, and nuts. This grouping comes with it all.
Have you noticed some noise when you drive? Does it sound like Mrs. Pots is throwing Chip down the grand staircase every time you bear around a corner? Well, get that beast fixed with a Club Car DS Front End Repair Kit from Buggies Unlimited. The last thing you want to be known for is your clanking suspension. Hey, it might get you out of being the DD if no one wants to ride along with your percussion ensemble. Don't be that person.
I just emailed you a diagram!
Paul i sen it to you in a email
Hi R, it depends on the year and model of your cart. You can tell these things via serial number.
You tube a video but its pretty self explanatory
Bill is this a precedent or ds?
The bushings are different in the Jakes kits made after 2008. Please give us a call and we can get them for you.
Not really but it is just taking nuts off, tapping the pieces out and replacing with new ones. Be sure and take a picture before starting if you are not familiar with the front end. Check steering play by turning steering wheel, while an assistant is watching front assembly, with cart on solid surface and note where play is. It could just be in the steering or the tie rod ends and ball joints. If so, they can be individually replaced. But typically, they all wear equally. If this is indeed the issue the cart will drive like new.
Depending on the model club car you have you may have front brakes. If this is the case you need to first check out the brakes. You could also have a worn out or bad bearing. However, if you see visual evidence that any of the parts in the kit you are looking at are worn then installing the kit is not bad money spent even if it does not solve the screeching issue.
I used this kit several years ago to repair a cart for a family member. To my recall, yes it includes the spindle bushings. The kit is made to replace all the front end components that wear out.
