Cart Subtotal:
There is no more important part than the brakes; of course, if you do not have them, the argument could be made that seat belts rank with higher priority. Either way you look at it, stopping the cart should be pretty near and dear to your heart. When it comes to the braking system of most golf carts, we are working with old-school drum brakes as they used on car models of yore. This entails the drum itself, many small parts, and the highest wear item out of all of it, the shoes.
Keeping these items replaced and in good condition is crucial to your safety and sanity as the metal on metal scraping will drive you bonkers. We have to state quite a bit "buy multiple;" that is not the case here. This is a complete set of four and will replace all the brakes on the cart. So whether you have a Yamaha or EZGO, even Club Car's can tango with Buggies Unlimited.
It does matter one has a longer end than the other. One goes to the top and one that is shorter goes to bottom. I can't remember which goes up or down it's been awhile sense I worked on them. Hope this helps.
If you have a mechanical brake cable going to your rear wheels then you have brakes. two shoes on each wheel.
They say they will some parts will interchange. I would take pictures of my shoes and compare with these. Hope that helps.
The brake shoes for 1988 club car had two correct and two that were small. So I have two I coud not use .I will get shoes latter.
Depends Randy if your shoes have worn into the drum you might just need to adjust them .
4245 is the leading shoe, 4244 is the trailing.
