There is a lot to be said for doing it yourself. To what extent you take that to is where your project's look might start to take a turn. We are all good at different things in our own right. You might be great at synchronized rollerblading; that's something we here at Buggies Unlimited would never try. Are you trying to recover a seat? That might be something you want to leave to us. It may sound like an easy task, but it is far from it. Getting an aftermarket piece of fabric you got at Michael's to fit over and look like the OEM seat is a tall task. Why not get a Yamaha Stone Seat Bottom Assembly and set the headache aside.
This seat assembly will match the OEM stone color that comes right out of the factory at Yamaha. That way matching this seat to your existing seatback is not a guessing game. Everything you need, vinyl, foam, and wood, comes ready in the box. Just transfer over the hinges and hip restraints and call it done. Buggies Unlimited wants to reserve one for you today.
Hi Janie, below is the option for just the vinyl. You will just remove the existing vinyl and staple on the new vinyl.
Hi Brad,
The seat comes with two “clips” that fit into the holes in the body of the cart. If your seat doesn’t lift up and out, it may not be the right fit. My cart has slots on the front of the body seating area about 11 inches from the sides, into which the “clips” fit. I hope this is helpful to you.

I think the seat and base are one unit. The arm rests are attached to the bottom of the seat with the clips on the front of seat fitting into the slots in the body of the cart. Hope that helps. Having said that, mine has a wood base to the cushion, so it may not be same model.
The seat I was delivered was not Yamaha brand. It did not have the molded black plastic underside. It does have threaded inserts in a wood bottom for attachment of the armrests and from clips
The bottom of the seat is wood, and holes for side arms and clips to hold seat in place are all pre-drilled and threaded. Keep in mind the arms and clips are not included with the seat
Not certain. Call the place where you purchased it. Most of these shops buy used carts and buy accessories from different suppliers
Yes, YDRE/YDRA models are also called G29/Drive models. All are Yamaha carts made between 2007-2016 or so.
No it won’t
Im not aware of any differences between the gas cart like mine and the electric cart seat that would be any difference in the fit. I will say the NON FACTORY seat replacement looks good at first removal from the box and fits just like the factory seat BUT I must say I was disappointed that the replacement seat vinyl material is NOT molded to the contour of the cushion foam like the factory seat. The fabric COULD have been glued to the foam but its not. What happens is the fabric flops around on top of the foam and when you sit on the seat all the air rushes over to the passenger side and the cushion of air between the vinyl and the foam blows up on the passenger side like a balloon. If I had to do it all over again Id buy the factory cushion with the vinyl that is laminated to it to avoid this. The cushion could be fixed but it would take so much work to correct this its not worth the aggravation. Sigh. This offering could have been so much better but its not.
