The spindle does not increase the with but the biger tires you put on will and the turning radius will increase. . The kit and tires are great a lot more traction gives moore places to go .
I do not an answer for a better ride from your Yamaha. I did notice a more firm ride mine after Installing 3” lift. A taller side wall, may help. Avoid lower profile tire.
here's what I put on:22X9.5-12 DOT GOLF CART TIRES - STREET TIRES
There's no extra clearance on the rear fender without cutting off part of the carts trim. I had to trim about a 1/2 inch off mine on 22" so I say probably not unless your lifting more than 3" which i don't recommend either as the 3 " lift is hard for short people to see their clubs
I can't see any problems with 8" wheels. I'm at 10" so smaller should be fine
