Product Details

Get your bounce back with a new set of Club Car Dual-Action HD Leaf Springs from Buggies Unlimited. When you have weak suspension, you can feel every bump in the road. We are not sure about you, but we would have busted out the little red wagon if we wanted something with that amount of ride quality. You know, the one with the front wheel broken and the axle dragging? As long as someone has not stolen it over the years, it probably rides better than a caddie with an old leaf spring. So make this simple and easy repair soon.

The biggest hold-up to installing heavy-duty golf cart leaf springs is the exact reason you want them in the first place. People are afraid of the ride quality they are going to end up with. The last thing you want to do is go from overly soft to unbelievably stiff. Going from one lousy condition to another does not a problem fix. That is why these dual-action Club Car springs are the cat's pajamas. They have the same soft suspension as an OEM caddie until you put an excessive load on them. Don't make things overly stiff for no reason.

The installation of this golf cart dual-action leaf spring, is an easy product to install. It will go on the exact same way as the OEM unit. You will need to jack up the cart, so have a few stands and a friend on hand for safety. A basic set of tools is all you need to bring you home.

Buggies Unlimited carried the Club Car hard parts like leaf springs and the accessories like light kits. Get everything you want right in one place. The best part? You do not have to load it in your car! We will ship it right to your door.

Best set up for rear seat installs
Quick shipping. Easy install. Rides nice but still supports extra weight after installing rear seat. Stopped rubbing the wider tires on custom wheels. Even though they are the stick height. Progressive so it’s not stiff when just one occupant like the three and four leaf “Heavy duty” style springs.

Pain in the keester to put the 1st one on. 2nd one was easy. Ride is a little stiffer than I would like. A lot more heavy duty than the factory ones. Overall satisfied.

Get These Springs Instead of 4-leaf Heavy Duty Ones
Fantastic replacement over the stock golf course springs. They ride great, a little firm when unladen but seriously not too bad. The real magic is with people/cargo in the back as it completely eliminated the rear sag from before. I’m not sure why anyone would choose the 4-leaf heavy duty ones over this.

One more note, these do eliminate the need for the rear shocks as well. I was worried it would be too bouncy but that isn’t the case with these.

Pleasantly surprised, actually rides better than before.
I read a lot of blogs about stiff rides from heavy duty springs but took a chance on these being progressive. Wife and I actually think it rides and handles better than before, although some of that could also be the new 3" lift I installed at the same time. No brand specified but my box was shipped from Nivel. We've got the knobby tires that were always rough on pavement but even they seemed smoothed out.

2019 club car
These Dual Action Springs worked great. Too stiff like the four-leaf ones. No problem too install, original U-bolts were long enough to work.

No Springs for club car president.
This is an easy do it yourself fix. I did this in preparation for the backseat kit. I was worried about getting better shock absorbers but with the springs the car runs fine.

11 Questions
do I need to remove the rear shocks to install these?

I was told you don’t need the shocks with heavy duty leaf springs. I removed mine, and have know issues. Hope that helps.

how many bushings will I need?

Two per spring as they recommend. Do lubricate them for easier installation. No shocks needed after installation

Is this a 3 leaf or 4 leaf?

3 leaf - top bar with the eye bolt holes and then 2 pieces under that bar.

My front leaf spring broke, and I'm thinking about using the HD leaf spring replacement, but was wondering if I would also have to replace the rear leaf spring with the HD one?

If you have a lifted cart with rear seat then I recommend replacing the rear with HD. They are most likely to fail and will result in inability to easily move cart. Tire will contact body if spring breaks.

I want to raise my 2011 president club car 2 inch’s for taller tires, how to raise rear ?

My cart has a lift on it, but the HD springs do add to the height. As long as you go to 12's and not 14's like the other reviewer, I think you would be fine. The folks at Buggies have more experience and can confirm

Does this item come with 2 leaf springs?  Description shows plural “springs”

They are sold individually.

Does this raise the cart or just stiffen?

Thats a little hard to say. The old springs were sacked out so bad that it was dragging butt.
But after installation it seemed to sit leval again.
So I would say it did not and if it did it was not noticable.

Do they come with bushings,?

No and they go on one way

I just installed the HD rear leaf springs and a front 1 “ lift kit to accommodate the rear seat assembly. When I weant to reattach the rear shocks to the mounting plate they would not reach. Is there a longer shock for this application?
will i need new U bolts? I ordered the leaf springs today and bushings
