Product Details

When the conversation turns to the Club Car DS Potentiometer or MCOR, most customers know they are at least talking about the throttle sensor. This acronym stands for motor controller output regulator. It is a small black plastic unit installed below the seat and has linkage coming from under the floorboards. When you press your pedal, a cog is rotated inside this unit, which creates a change in resistance. At rest, this sensor sends out five thousand ohms to the controller to indicate no throttle is being applied. As you press the gas pedal, the resistance starts to drop. When you are at full throttle, the resistance is zero. As his unit gets older, it can give an inaccurate range, like seven thousand to two thousand. Your caddie will have a dead portion of the throttle and not achieve full speed if that happens.

This golf cart MCOR is for the DS models. If your Club Car MCOR is not located under your seat, you may have a newer model. The Precedent has an accelerator pedal sub-assembly that houses this unit. If yours is like this, please give Buggies Unlimited a call for the right product.

Throttle fixed
Fit perfect, great instructions. This was a nice upgrade as the old unit was causing a surge and not getting to top speed.

Great Replacement Kit with Detail instructions.
This Kit comes with Detail intructions which really help me out alot.
This Mcor 4 replacement Kit, replaced my Mcor 1 on a 2004 Club Cart DS that isn,t made anymore.
This Mcor kit Fixed my Golf Cart which was hesitating and stuttering intermittently at times, when I push the Pedal Down.
The Kit with the Detail instructions and with a OEM made Mcor replacement worked really well so far and Isn,t a After market Mcor China made part replacement that I read on other reviews that have been giving other people problems .
This Kit took me about 1 hour to put in but I took my time to make sure I did it right.

worked great, just installed and functions great. only suggestion is to put hex nut bolts to mount it rather than the star screw.

MCOR
Took a chance that my old Club Car's poor performance was caused by a failing MCOR. I bought the replacement kit and had it installed. The car's performance has been restored! It runs like new. Your guy Sam was helpful in diagnosing the problem over the phone. Thanks, folks.

evidently not the solution
I am currently working with Sam as the MCOR didn't seem to fix the problem of stopping in the middle of foot pedal movement. I have been told I can return the new MCOR as when I checked the old MCOR on the bench with an analog VOM we saw no place where resistance either dropped to zero or went real high. It was a smooth transition from 1K to 6K over its full movement. Based on what the experts say I will investigate the next component in the control circuitry. till it runs smoothly & doesn't just stop in the middle of the range.

intermitent stopping when the go pedal was depressed. I would have to pat the accelorater pedal to make it go. sometimes it would quit. if i kept the pedal depressed after p[atting it to get going, the cart would keep going. but, if i let up on the pedal it would quit running. it was very aggrevating and dangerous. so mi was glad to get the thing fixed.
The potentiometer fixed the problem and it works well again.

scott if your cart has an mcor already then this will be a replacement. being a 96 it should be a v glide from factory unless it been upgraded

I have a 2000 club car and when I push the accelerator down it does not engage until it is halfway down, that gives it a short range between moving and full speed. What is the problem?

The shaft from the gas pedal to the MCOR needs to be removed and twisted clockwise a little at a time and will be like new. Make sure the back wheels are off the ground in case you twist it to much

i have a 2003 DS, goes anywhere. just bought a 2003, looks same as the DS but fully street legal, possibly parkway? model. anyway this one runs great, normal anywhere, even on fairly steep hills, no slow down, etc. but if i stop on a steep hill, it won't budge forward. was told change to a 400 or 500 amp controller. I can't see any specs on this item, what is the amp?

This is a throttle sensor. Take a look at the Navitas controller systems for the Club Car DS models. We carry a 440 and a 600 amp!

Do i have to upgrade to an MCOR or can I do a direct replacement?
Have a 2011 DS shown by shop that accelerator has varying outputs as accelerator is compressed. Replaced Speed sensor but still has gaps in function as accelerator is depressed. Recommended a MCOR replacement. Will this product do the trick?

I have a jerky accelerator also, replaced the speed sensor , MCOR 4 and reprogrammed the Controller (ALTRAX) and worked with it for a month. THE accelerator is still not right, NOT SMOOTH.
Still working issue, may be peddle motion grinding or some other incompatibility in my configuration. Hope this helps.

I have 2010 CC DS 48 volt. I press accelerator cart goes normally. Then stops until I press accelerator again. If I press it all the way down, it goes but at half speed or less. What is wrong with my club car?

My cart started with the same problems. Press the accelerated it may go it may not, may go a short distance or go until I stopped it. Kept getting worst until it wouldn't work at all. Replaced the potentiometer and that fixed it. Hope this helps you. Good luck.

is this correct part for 2009 carryall turf 2?

This would not work for the carryall 2 2009.

How do I out what model year club car I own?

If you locate your serial number usually located below dashboard, the first 5 digits will tell you. For instance my cart reads A0035. A is the model cart-00 is the year 2000-and 35 is the week of manufacture. You can go on the club car website and type in this info and it will tell you exactly what cart you have.

how do i know if this is for a 97/98 model club car ds.. no forward no reverse, new batteries .. everyone is pointing me in this direction not even sure this is  the correct part?
Club car A0115 car only drives at 5 mph. POT is good, new batteries are wired correctly. Any ideas?
