Product Details

OEM replacement items are often just as functional, if not more than the stock versions that replace them. However, we can guarantee you that most of the time, they will look worlds apart. The slight or significant differences can make swapping item for item confusing. Spade connectors get swapped for eyelets, and drilling holes seems like a requirement. Well, with this aftermarket replacement, Buggies Unlimited has solved all of those problems by making the Club Car DS & Precedent 48-Volt Solenoid an almost exact match!

The best way to figure out how to install something on your DS or Precedent is to take a picture of the original before it's uninstalled. Even though this aftermarket replacement relay from Albright looks the same, it can still be a challenge. Wait till you get the new part before taking anything off your golf cart. Preparation ensures a speedy install. Even if that means leaving it be until you have the parts you need to get it done.

My 2013 Club Car will not go the first time the accelerator is pressed but will go when the pedal is pressed again. Changed the MCOR and didnt help the issue. Any ideas?

Google how to check the solenoid and go through the check for it to see if it was bad. I had the same problem and the MCOR was my problem, but when I googled the problem, It suggested testing the solenoid first.

2006 Club Cart will not move forward or backwards, Is this the Solenoid?

It sounds like it. Does it click when you step on the pedal? If not the Solenoid is generally the issue.

My club car will not go forward or backward it makes a clicking sound but want move?

After many hours of troubleshooting it was only the f/r switch.

My club cart will move but then clicks and stops in both forward and reverse. I can give it a few minutes and it will move and click. Where should I start and how do I test?

Google the problem you are having and you will find videos to show how to test for different things. I tested mine and didn't find an issue with the solenoid but put one in anyway because it was cheap. I is a control that is under the cart. I took mine to a cart repair shop and got them to fix it. About $400 dollars. You probably can do it yourself, but I was tired of fooling with is and didn't want to crawl around on the ground to get under the cart.

What causes the Electric powered motor to hesitate when I push down on the pedal? There feels like a dead spot when I push the pedal down in the motor. And after There is hesitation as I’m pushing the pedal all of a sudden it will accelerate very fast.

One possibility is a failing MCOR (motor controller output regulator) which sends the pedal movement signal to the solenoid.

my 2003 club car elect. was running ok stop to let puppy and would go?.

Could be the accelerator switch or the Solenoid.

I have a club car and sometimes it will maintain its proper speed but most of the time it only goes very slow what could be the causes it’s a 2003?

To save time and money go to a club car shop that will put it on a diagnose machine it will tell you what to fix

Have a 48 volt culd car ds i use it in the winter to plow snow i had 3 more light clean up pushs to go but it stopped switching forward or reverse push the peddle down hear a clik but no motion any ideas??

Check the wire connection to the FNR switch. With frequent switching sometimes the wire breaks right there. I have rewired mine many times.

where is the solenoid located in 2005 club cart ?

Hi dom b,

I found my solenoid on the passenger side on the firewall facing the electric motor. There is an access door to it on the back side of the golf cart just below the back of the seat held with about six screws. Make sure you disconnect the power before disconnecting the solenoid cables. Look on the internet for directions on “how to replace the solenoid on a 48 volt club car. golf cart.

Lacking speed. Seems slow. Batteries are good. Is there an affordable way to increase speed?

My 2003 Club Car DS was having similar problems and it turned out the controller going bad.
