Works like a charm, made a lot of different in more speed and power.. only complain that there were no instructions for the wiring.

Good product. The techs at Buggies Unlimited put together a package for my upgrade. Received solenoid wire set forward/reverse switch controller and wire harness.
After receiving the parts. No instructions. The emailed them to me right away. Problem with instructions are it is almost one run on sentence. It took a while studying and rewriting them into steps to understand.
After test drive. Wow. Hi torque motor got my wife and I up to a speed of 21 mph. Waiting now to try this package on hills at some campgrounds this spring.
Thanks Buggies Unlimited

7978 upgrade 2012 Club Car
This controller was part of a #7978 motor upgrade kit. I have been pleased with the overall results. There is a noticeable increase in torque and the top speed is now over 23 mph. I found the instructions a bit difficult to follow as written and instead took the time to reduce them to a check list to improve clarity, and insure steps are preformed in the proper order. Not mentioned was the need to relocate the run/tow switch to make room for the controller. I also suggest that during the disassembly all connections should be clearly marked and if any are found that are not used they should be taped off so time is not wasted looking for a mate that does not exist. Total install time was around 6 hours not counting several trips to the hardware store and removing and replacing the body panels. So far the results seem to be well worth the investment.

Can someone provide the wiring / install instructions?
The provided harness adapter has an additional black and white wire that terminate on the same terminal ring. Was wondering where this is supposed to connect to
Does this 500 amp controller with the heavy duty solenoid require a pre-charge resistor or diode. If so, where do they get connected?
Is this controller for a
reverse rocker swich? If not, which controller is.

Hi Heather, yes this works with rocker-style FR switch and an upgraded motor. It is not recommended to use this with the stock motor.

I get a throttle fault 1. I just purchased an Excel/iq Curtis controller about 2 months ago. how can I fix that?

Possibly the mcor. That’s the throttle for club car. Ezgo is “ITS” for throttle.
