Cart Subtotal:
You found the needle in the haystack! That's what it feels like at least once you finally find that Yamaha part you've been searching for. Well, we are here to tell you that you do not have to shop OEM for quality golf cart parts anymore. We carry high-caliber aftermarket replacements at a fraction of the cost. The 48-Volt Advanced Electric Motor for the G19-22 and 29 models is a heck of a swap for the stock unit, but it can be used without upgrading the OEM controller.
This aftermarket Yamaha 48-Volt Advanced Electric Motor maintains 4.3 horsepower at 3500 RPM. That is a serious increase over the factory setup. You can expect to see speeds of up to 23 miles per hour with an original controller. If you decide to upgrade that to the performance is going to skyrocket. That's the fantastic thing about upgrading electric carts. You can keep adding power with golf cart batteries and enhancements. Get on the phone with Buggies Unlimited and get one of these delivered to your garage soon.
If your cart has always been slow (14 mph) it is limited by the stock controller. My 2007 had a higher factory speed setting of 19mph. My stock motor went bad so I installed the advanced electric motor with stock controller and my cart goes 24 mph on flat road. The new motor has a different speed sensor that allows the cart to go faster with the stock controller. This does defeat the regen braking feature which I learned after purchasing the motor. A new controller should get you to at least 19 mph with stock tires or maybe a little more. If you want to go faster then you will probably need a higher hp motor like the advanced motor
Hi Hilary, yes this will work on your G29/YDRE cart. It will provide a little more speed over stock.
My golf course is not hilly for me to drive to course play eighteen holes and drive home it is 8 miles l have done this two times on same charge and didn't notice any changes in performance this motor has been very good so far
Agree with Clarence, if you have the 19 spline it will work. This motor increased my speed by about 20% and I am not having any issues with torque or battery life. It has been working great.
There isn't really a positive or negative location. however typically on these carts a1 is positive and a2 will get the negative from the controller
I do not know the answer. Not familiar with YDREX3.
