Cart Subtotal:
Your Yamaha Rear Shock is a mini version of the type that gets used on many cars. This is a coil-over shock that not only supports the weight of the caddie but softens the ride as well. This unit also serves as the front spindle yoke. That translates to is the spindle will install into a u-shaped bracket on the bottom of the shock. You still have a similar king pin set up and tie rods. Still, Yamaha incorporated these two significant parts into one combined assembly once installed. This cuts down on the number of wear parts that need to be replaced over time.
This golf cart rear shock is a single unit. There are two on your caddie, and we highly recommend that you replace both simultaneously. This will work for the G14, G16, G19, and G22 models. We carry shocks for newer and older models as well, so if you don't see yours here, please give our experts a call at Buggies Unlimited and allow them to help you find what you need.
All I can tell you about is the rear shocks. 1 of my boys broke one and we had to replace it. So I bought 2 of the G14-G22's. My carts are you very hard as they are used in a baseball program to groom fields and haul my boys around with about 500lbs in the back at all times. The shock gives a terrific ride and does what we want them to do. Your only problem is going to be removing and reinstalling the top bolt, there is no room to get at the nut. I finally took a hole saw and drilled a large hole in the body so I could get tools in to work on it. Carts are on big tires, by the way I have 2 carts that are the same. They will run between 35 and 40 mph when empty and with my lightest boy in them. I don't know if I answered your question by its a tough shock.
Yes they are on my cart now and they work just fine. With the lift kit I put on.
go with the stock shocks!! the HD ones will give you a terrible ride..also lower your tire pressure. took me some time to figure this out.... i returned the HD ones i purchased.. it road like a lumber wagon with those...Andy...
Mine was a g-9 they didn't have the correct shocks
Hi Scott, one should be the standard shock and the other is the heavy duty option which is recommend for carts with rear seats or cargo boxes.
